Simon Lizotte signs up for Disc Golf World Tour

German Disc Golf superstar and distance World Record holder Simon Lizotte has confirmed his attendance to Disc Golf World Tour 2016. Lizotte will play in all six events and joins 4-time World Champion Paul McBeth as Tour´s Athlete Ambassador. Simon is excited about upcoming season: “The 2016 DGWT is something I’m really looking forward to. It will be a big part of the next year’s season for me. I really want to play all of the events. The events promise to be amazing and I don’t want to miss out on the fun experiences on tour!”

Disc Golf World Tour combines the best events from US and Europe. Tour director Jussi Meresmaa is thrilled to get Lizotte as one of the names on Tour. “Simon has made a deep impact to the Disc Golf community over the last two years. He is the undisputed trick shot master and really cool guy off the course. Where ever he goes, he has fans. It’s mesmerizing to watch him throw. We definitely want to get him deeply involved with the Disc Golf World Tour and promotions around it.”

Fans will be waiting eagerly for Simon to attack World Tour courses. He is know to put up a show every time he steps on tee one. Many times he leaves people gasping when he discovers a completely new route to the target. Simon also has high expectations on what is waiting for him and other athletes. “My expectations are pretty high for the Disc Golf World Tour events. All the way from course design, course equipment, tournament organization and competition level to media coverage and professionalism, these events should set new standards in disc golf.”

The tour’s inaugural season begins in March 2016 from California and has already scheduled events in four countries. The Disc Golf World Tour will conclude with the Championship event back in Rock Hill, SC next October.
