European Open 2017 Viewer Statistics

Disc Golf World Tour exists with the purpose to bring the world’s best disc golf for the fans to enjoy. We are aiming to grow the sport through high quality coverage from the most prestigious tournaments. The best way to measure our success is by numbers. Here are some of the most important statistics regarding our last event, The European Open 2017.

First, let’s look at the visitors that came to watch the event on site. As you can see, we reached a thousand visitors every day, with the final round gathering an impressive 3 400 fans at The Beast, Nokia. The sport is growing rapidly in Finland, and some estimate that it’s the fastest growing sport in all Scandinavia at the moment.

Here are the numbers we’re really satisfied with. These are views on Spin TV’s YouTube channel within a week of the event. It’s easy to see the growth, even during this year, with the final day videos of the European Open gathering a huge, 160 000 views. Comparing that number to Konopiste Open 2017, the gain is 35% and if compared to last year’s European Open finals, the increase is over 90%!
