Position: 2
“It was a battle for everyone with the later tee times due to the weather. Some good memories from last year’s USDGC with wind, cold, and rain. Makes a different game and less fun. Glad it is over.”
“I had to birdie 18 to say on the lead card. A par and I would have dropped to the chase card. Looking forward to tomorrow! A new day!”
Zach Melton
Overall: -7
Round Two: +2
Position: T-10
“I started how I wanted, but had a really bad break on Hole 5. Hit a tree close to the basket about 25 feet away and then rolled OB. I let that stay in my head and frustrate me for a little bit. Took two five’s in a row and kept getting pars to battle back.”
“It got really windy on the back nine. It was a little rough out there, but that’s ok. I’ll come back out and play my game. I don’t think we’ll have to play in a hurricane this time. I think I’ll be able to shoot better than a 65.”
Paul McBeth
Overall: -17
Round Two: -6
Position: 1
“I started out great, which is key, especially in this weather. Held on to that and went up and down the rest of the round. Got one birdie on the last hole to finish six under to give myself a few stroke lead.”
“On the front nine, I wanted to make up for my mistakes in round one…I was fortunate to get those five birdies right away. Then it was a streak of pars, but those were key for sure in this wind, rain, and what felt like icicles.”
“I’m going to play my game Saturday and attack those first few holes. I feel really comfortable with those tee shots. Looking to keep it going and shoot a good round and not worry about where anyone else is. I’m really confident on this course.”
Ricky Wysocki
Overall: -11
Round Two: -3
Position: T-3
“Started off dry and sunny, but the back nine saw the weather kick up. I knew the back was going to be a struggle. Just shooting under par on those last nine hoels was a good goal for me and I was able to do that. Wish I could have started a little better, but glad to be in contention Saturday.”
“Weather should be nice on Saturday which will allow me to be a little more aggressive. That being said, I’m six off the lead which is manageable out here. I think I have a shot to win if I play aggressive and smart in the final round.”
Dana Vicich
Overall: -9
Round Two: -4
Position: T-6
“Scored pretty well on a lot of the par threes. Didn’t get many birdies on par fours, but I ended up with six twos out there. You can come out here and easily not get a two on many holes and got a lot of those today.”
“Need to get up and throw the shots I know I can throw and written down in my brain. I won’t veer off and do too much Saturday. If Im in a bad spot, I have no problem laying up. I don’t need to be a hero. At the end of the day keeping it around par here is pretty damn good.
Karl Johan Nybo

“Crazy rain. Had a good front nine and kept on going. Kept it in bounds and played safe. great feeling all around. Made a two on Hole 18 after a crazy Hole 17.”
“No need to change for Saturday. I have my game plan in the books and will do the same thing I’ve done the last two days.”
